Terms of service
Last updated: 6 November 2026.
These terms apply to every Sitebend account. Sitebend is run by Versea CommV, Kelbergenstraat 91, 3290 Diest, Belgium, enterprise number 0666.567.667, VAT BE0666567667. Questions go to hello@sitebend.com. How we handle personal data is in our privacy policy.
What Sitebend is
Sitebend is an online service for making and hosting websites. You change a site's design by chatting with an AI, and you edit its texts, pages, posts and products yourself. Your sites are online at an address on sitebend.com, or on your own domain if you connect one.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens in your account. Give us a working email address and, for a paid plan, correct billing details, because your invoices are made from them.
Free trial
A new account gets 14 days on the Site plan for free. You do not need to give payment details for it. When the trial ends without a paid plan, you can still sign in and choose one, but you cannot change your sites, and they go offline 14 days later.
Plans and prices
The plans and what they include are in our pricing. Prices are in euro and exclude VAT. VAT is added according to where you are: Belgian VAT in Belgium; none for a business elsewhere in the EU with a valid VAT number (reverse charge); your own country's VAT for a consumer elsewhere in the EU; none outside the EU. Your total is shown before you pay.
You pay in advance, per month or per year. The first payment goes through our payment provider Mollie and also authorises us to charge the same card or bank account for each following period, until you cancel. If you choose a plan during your trial, the days left of the trial are added to your first period. You get an invoice for every payment by email and in your account.
Changing plans
A higher plan with the same billing period starts at once, and you pay the difference for the rest of the current period. Any other change, such as a lower plan or switching between monthly and yearly, starts at your next renewal.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we try again after 1, 3 and 7 days. If it stays unpaid, your account is locked: you can sign in and pay, but you cannot change your sites, and they go offline 14 days later. Paying the open invoice unlocks everything.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time on your account's Billing page. Your plan then runs until the end of the period you paid for and is not renewed. We do not refund the rest of a period, except under the right of withdrawal below. After the period ends your account is locked as described above, and your data stays until you delete it.
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw from a paid plan within 14 days of your first payment. Email hello@sitebend.com from your account's address and we refund that first payment in full within 14 days.
Your content
What you put in your sites stays yours. You give us the permission we need to store, process and publish it so the service works, including sending parts of it to our AI provider when you use the chat. You are responsible for your sites' content and for having the rights to it.
Do not use Sitebend for anything illegal, for spam, phishing or malware, or for content that infringes someone else's rights. We may take such a site offline or block the account, and we tell you why.
AI
Designs and texts the AI makes can contain mistakes. Check them before you rely on them. Every design change can be undone.
Availability
We do our best to keep Sitebend online and your data safe, and we keep backups, but we cannot promise the service is never interrupted. Keep your own copy of anything important: each site's Settings has an export of everything in it.
Liability
Our liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the damage, and we are not liable for indirect damage such as lost profit. These limits do not apply to damage we cause on purpose or through gross negligence, or where the law does not allow them.
Ending your account
You can delete a site at any time in its Settings. To delete your whole account, see how to delete your data. Deleting your account ends your plan without a refund of the current period.
Changes
We email you at least 30 days before a change to these terms or a higher price takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
Law and disputes
Belgian law applies, and disputes go to the courts of Leuven, Belgium. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country where you live, and you may also go to the courts there.
